Arts

Many of the organisations and venues which I work with are arts centres or multi-use venues. Some like the new Scala in Prestatyn or the venue under development for Shetland include cinema as a major element, others are strongly focussed on other artforms especially live music or drama. Recent projects include;

Aldborough Forum – with Right Angle Management Ltd I carried out a detailed feasibility study into the potential for a new build rural venue capable of hosting live music concerts, drama and comedy performances, film screenings, and a range of conferences and community functions.

Community Music East, Norwich – an options appraisal for relocation of this vibrant music organisation which provides training and resources for musicians and the regional community. An unusually diverse range of options were investigated including an adventurous new build funded by planning gains and a radical re-use of a former church.

Creative Workspaces Stocktake – a major cross artform research project conducted with Sue Todd for the Arts Council England 'Artist Time Space Money' programme. The work involved coordinating regional research teams and producing a database of artists workspaces in England.
