Business

After the inspiring, aspirational idea that drives a project, the hard work of producing an honest and viable business plan is one of the most important documents cultural organisations and venues need.

Each business plan is different in detail but all of them will describe the context or environment of the business, the intention and goals of the business, and how it intends to operate in human, physical and financial senses.

Examples of projects I've developed business plans for include:

•  a small town digital cinema and cafe in a redeveloped former cinema in rural Perthshire

•  a community arts organisation in the South of England which is embarking on a multi-million pound expansion

•  a private sector proposal to create a 4-screen digital cinema in a market town in the East of England

•  a social enterprise initiative in North West Scotland aiming to create a cinema and digital media centre

•  a music training organisation undergoing strategic changes in terms of funding and operating partnerships

•  a large cultural and leisure venue in Wales undergoing a substantial redevelopment programme
